We are sure you will find that Rosanda
House is the ideal location for a relaxing break and a convenient
base from which to explore Exmoor and the West Somerset area.
Minehead is the perfect base as it has a
wide range of shops and eating places. You can pass the day
relaxing in Blenheim Gardens, shopping, stolling along the
sea front, or even swimming in the Bristol Channel if you
are made of stern stuff! The town has a thriving Farmers'
Market every Friday in The Parade, in the centre of town.
If you wish to explore further afield, you
may like to tour around the Exmoor
National Park, taking in such villages as Porlock, Dulverton,
Withypool, Exford, Lynton & Lynmouth. How about visiting
the Doone Valley (Oare and Malmsmead), the setting for R
D Blackmore's well known novel Lorna Doone.
North Devon is also easily accessible from
Minehead, either by taking the spectacular coast road (A39)
and experiencing England's tallest coastal cliffs, or by cutting
across Exmoor and enjoying the unique scenery and wild life. |
